30m MY Chef/(with light stew duties)
Looking for a team playing multi tasker for a lovely happy team on a private single season MY based on mainland Spain. Winters are quiet - then summer is a busy 12 week season cruising the Med, often along side another MY. The yacht runs with 5 crew. The primary job is cooking, Looking for them to join by end of Jan, the former chef is leaving after nearly two years. Although it's private, they pay tips when guests are on like charter. The chef is not required to do super high end food, more family style. Guest Breakfasts are cold platters and cereals. Lunches are family style buffets - pastas, seafood, salads etc. Light Med style. When in the Med the guests eat off the boat once a day. It's not super formal, no allergies or special diets etc. Usually 1-5 guests, absolute max of 12 for events etc. Salary negotiable DOE, euros. To be discussed with each candidate. Captain says they're a lovely family, he's been with them a while. Spanish speaking is a plus. there is help with provisioning, the only stew duties are minimal when galley duties are done so it's primarily cheffing - light cleaning / turnarounds. There is a strong team vibe - everyone helps everyone to get things done.
